This has been making its way through Facebook, Buzzfeed and Pinterest over the last couple months. If you follow me on Facebook, you know that not too long ago, I shared this too. The idea is supposedly simple- you roast a marshmallow on all sides, turn it out on a plate, it caves in and provides a perfectly gooey, self-contained, edible shot glass.
I would like to say that I am a pretty good “Pinterest” gal. I can typically get through a well-designed, well-written pin with no issues. I mean, the directions are THERE. Bonus points if there’s a video.
This post had both, so when a dear friend came to visit, I was all about trying these out. We were absolutely psyched to do this. We watched it, determined this looked easy, and were going to be outside relaxing with our marshmallow shot glasses filled with Baileys.
It didn’t really pan out like that. I would say that this is my first Pin FAIL. For every 1 that we got to kind of work, there were 4 that we scrapped and snacked on. And the ones that we did get to work got there through a lot of trial and error experimenting.
Long story short, I would mark this as “not worth the effort.”
